Author Carol Marine knows exactly how you feel—she herself suffered from painter’s block, until she discovered “daily painting.” The idea is simple: do art (usually small) often (how often is up to you), and if you’d like, post and sell it online/5().

This book is full of simple, whimsical exercises in watercolor painting with some fun additions like masking fluid and paper cutting.

Emma explains everything in terms that are easy to understand and gives a good overview of the tools of the trade/5(86). This book has very clear description on what a marine painting should and must consist of. Most of the book is in black and white, but that is no problem.

John Robinson describes in very easy language how to accomplish a painting from start to finish. The color-mixing is described and very precise advices of how to do things/5(42). This is an excellent book to get a person started in a daily painting habit. I enjoyed it a great deal and will probably retread it in the near future.

Carol Marine is a gifted artist and shares many ideas about how to maintain and improve as an artist and painter/5(83). Claire's page painting book is extremely well-organized.

It proceeds from materials selection to paint-mixing (for both hue and consistency) to brush-handling.

Then she combines these and other elements in very-lucid step-by-step lessons for still-lifes, nudes and portraits.

(No landscapes.)/5(). Bonus Download: New to painting. Start with my free Beginner's Guide to Painting. As a beginner artist, it can be difficult to find painting inspiration.

That is why I have put together some easy painting ideas which are perfect for beginners. There is often the misconception that as you become more advanced, you will find subjects to paint easily. Welcome to the home page of the Jr.
